| Red Fort (30 Km.) |
The red sandstone walls of Lal Qila, the Red Fort, extend 2 km in length and vary in height from 18 metres on the river-side to 33 metres on the city side. Construction of the massive fort, started in 1638, was completed in 1648. Shah Jahan, the Emperor behind this creation, was deposed and imprisoned in Agra Fort by his son Aurangazeb before he could move his capital from Agra to Shahjahanabad in Delhi. |

| Qutab Minar (15 kms) |
The Qutab Minar, a tower in Delhi is the world's tallest brick minaret Construction commenced in 1193 under the orders of India's first Muslim ruler Qutb-ud-din Aibak , and the topmost storey of the minaret was completed in 1386 by Firuz Shah Tughluq.
It is surrounded by several other ancient and medieval structures and ruins. Collectively know as Qutb complex. The complex is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Delhi. |

| Humayun’s Tomb (25 kms) |
The Mughals brought with them a love for gardens, fountains and water. The first mature example of Mughal architecture in India, Humayun's Tomb was built by the emperor's grieving widow, Haji Begum, in 1565 AD. Humayun's Tomb shows a marked shift from the Persian tradition of using coloured tiles for ornamentation.
The dome stands 140 feet from the base of the terrace and is topped with a copper pinnacle. |

Feroz Shah Kotla |
| The ruins of Ferozabad, the 5th city of Delhi, erected by Feroz Shah Tughlaq in 1354 can be found at Feroz Shah Kotla, just off Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg between the Old and New Delhi.Feroz Shah was a great builder and so, this fifth city of Delhi was full of splendid palaces, mosques and gardens.
